Canada Handgun Ban Freeze

Canada banning handguns is the canary in the coal mine for America, so pay attention.
For years I have argued that there is no such thing as common sense gun measures and that every time you hear that phrase from a politician, it means they want to ban all guns.
Take, for instance, Joe Biden.
Joe Biden recently said he's going to get a so-called "Assault Weapon Ban" Passed, and so many people are like, "Oh, well, that's not too bad; who needs AR15s anyway? All you need is a handgun anyway".
Fools, it's not just going to stop with AR15s; there's always going to be more, and CANADA proved it.
First, they started with the so-called Assault Weapons in 2020.
Then two years later, they are now banning handguns.
In a statement on the ban/freeze on handguns, Justin Trudeau noted, among other things:
"Fewer guns mean safer communities. That's why the Government of Canada is implementing some of the strongest gun control measures in a generation. Handguns are the weapon of choice in most firearm-related crimes, which is why limiting the number of handguns is a critical part of our plan to protect Canadians from gun violence."
I'm sure there are people now saying, "Oh, well, that's Canada, that could never happen here."

We just had an assault weapon ban in America that lasted from 1994 -2004. That was only 18 years ago, and the only reason we don't still have one now is that the republicans got lucky and were able to put a sunset clause in the bill that would require the law to expire after ten years if they could show the ban didn't work.
Do you think the Democratic politicians will make the same mistake again in their new assault weapon bill that they're trying to pass?
There is no sunset provision in the new assault weapon bill; they even made it more restrictive than the last one.

I carry a gun to check my mailbox, so someone, please explain to me why this man went into bear territory without a gun!
The real reason why this guy was in Smokey the bear's territory without a gun was that this happened in Japan.
In Japan, the only guns permitted for sale are shotguns and air rifles, and handguns are completely banned.
Not to mention that the amount of hurdles you have to go through to get a shotgun is absurd.
So, at the end of the day, I can't fault this guy for not having a gun in this instance because of where it happened.
However, let's not act like there aren't many cases here in the U.S. where people find themselves in a similar situation and refuse to carry a gun because their progressive stupidity outweighs their common sense or the laws prevent them from doing so.
Either way, Mother Nature doesn't care about your ideology or common sense gun laws, and neither should you because it will get you killed.

There are one or two times I will open carry.
If I'm forced to get gas late at night, I'll sometimes tuck my shirt behind my gun while I pump my gas, and that's only to make my access to the gun faster and easier, considering I now have to stand at this pump late at night looking like a lick.
Gas stations are a carjacker and robbers paradise because the gas station is when you're vulnerable, just like when I'm at the ATM.
Other than those scenarios, I never open-carry.
I don't like the attention it brings, and I don't always want to deal with boxed wine Karen freaking out and pearl clutching anytime I walk into a Starbucks during pumpkin spice latte season.
That being said, if you are going to open carry, don't carry the damn gun in your front or back pocket with the grip hanging out.
You're just asking for someone to come up and take your gun.
You never know when someone is watching you, and if you're open carrying, you better believe people are watching you, and it's more than likely people whose radar you don't want to be on.

Dallas Methodist Shooting

Though in Texas, this hospital is a gun-free zone, this means even if you have a concealed carry permit, you’re not allowed to carry a gun into the hospital.
On Saturday, a danger that had already claimed two lives was put an end when a Methodist Health System officer shot and wounded a shooter inside the Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
This guy was a felon on patrol wearing an ankle monitor, and he was still able to get a gun illegally, bring it into a hospital where you’re not allowed to bring guns, and shoot two people, which is also illegal.
This shooting, more than any, should prove that gun-free zones do not work. They are a false sense of security that makes you feel safe, but in reality, you are not safe.
Gun-free zones reward the people willing to break the law and punish the people who obey the law.

NY Gun Laws impermissible

New York's new gun laws process required a ton of training no working person would have the time to complete.
They also stalk your social media going back three years to see if you're of good moral character.
To put the icing on the cake, even if you got the permit, you couldn't carry your gun anywhere because the new law made everywhere you would possibly want to carry a gun a gun-free zone.
On paper, you could get a concealed carry permit in New York, but in practice, you really didn't.
That's how badly New York wanted to restrict 2A Rights. They passed this law almost immediately after the ruling.
However, A Federal Judge just said that, "He would block the state from enforcing a lot of this new law.
He stated, "New York's attempts to bar guns in a number of places deemed "sensitive" — including museums, theaters, stadiums, Times Square, libraries, places offering services to children and anywhere alcohol is served — appeared impermissible."
That's the beauty of the supreme court ruling.
It held that New York's permitting system was unconstitutional and provided a test for any new laws passed to determine if they were constitutional.
Now it makes gun laws a lot easier to challenge in court because we won't necessarily have to wait until they get to the supreme court.

The first thing you'll learn when you take a firearm self-defense course is that situational awareness will put you in a position to win most gun fights.
It wasn't that he was such a fantastic shot that saved him; he had situational awareness and a tool to deal with the information his situational awareness gave him.
A lot of people in California live in a fantasy world.
They think they can virtue signal their way out of problems.
Criminals don't care about your virtue signal; they thrive on it!
They understand how naive it makes you and thus makes their job so much easier. All these virtue signaling policies do is embolden criminals.

NJ lawmaker admits the current gun control bills have nothing to do with criminals, just controlling law-abiding responsible citizens.
The NJ Concealed Carry law (NJ Bill A4769 S3214 ) is designed to make getting a license to carry so complex that very few will be able to do it.
They want the process to obtain a carry permit to be extremely confusing, to require way too much time, and/or they want you to be unable to afford it.
The laws turn Second Amendment rights to carry into a privilege for the rich elite, and now no one can say I'm lying because bozo over here (Assembly bill’s primary sponsor, Joe Danielsen) just proved it when he said this:
"The last thing I want to say to people, and some of my own Democrats have commented to me, this does nothing [to] stop the illegal gun trade, or the illegal criminal, illegal possessions, or criminal content and… you're right. This doesn't. It was never supposed to address that. This is addressing the legal, law abiding, responsible citizens. That's what it's designed to do."
Making it illegal for law-abiding citizens to carry a gun for self-defense makes it easier for criminals to murder and harder for law-abiding citizens to stop criminals from murdering.
That's common sense that clearly isn't very common in the age of government worship and over dependence.

Does this sound like the President of A free country or a Tyrant?
Watching the leader of a country SCREAM Ban Them, Ban Them, Ban them for something the founders felt was so important that it was the second thing they wrote in the constitution... should terrify you.
Banning so-called "Assault Weapons" is the destruction of the 2nd Amendment because the Justification for banning so-called "Assault Weapons" can be used to justify banning almost all guns.
AR-15s aren't used by our military in war but guess what guns are?
That's right, the same handguns we already have!
Handguns are more of a weapon of war than the AR-15.
So when it's all said and done, you can try to use whatever manipulative Justification to ban AR-15s which are not Assault weapons you want, but with over 21 million AR-15s in this country, it's clear as day that the Second Amendment protects the AR-15.
